This Privacy Policy explains how Kiwi Strippers Limited ("we", "us", "our"), a subsidiary of Kiwi Events Limited, collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website at www.kiwistrippers.co.nz.

We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

1. Information We Collect

Website Visitors

When you visit our website, we automatically collect standard technical information to ensure the website functions correctly, to improve our services, and to maintain security. This may include browser and device information, pages visited, and general location data.

Booking Enquiries

When you submit a booking enquiry, we collect:

  • Your name and contact details (email, phone number)
  • Event details (date, location, type of event)
  • Any other information you choose to provide

Customer Accounts

If you create an account, we collect:

  • Name and email address
  • Account preferences and favourites

Talent (Performers)

If you register as a performer, we collect:

  • Full name, stage name, date of birth, and contact details
  • Photos and videos you upload
  • Physical attributes and service offerings you provide
  • Work preferences and availability
  • Login credentials and portal activity

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Process and manage booking enquiries
  • Display performer profiles on our website
  • Improve our website and services

  • Our performers — limited contact details necessary to fulfil a booking

  • Legal authorities — if required by law or to protect our rights

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. Booking and financial records are retained for a minimum of 7 years as required by New Zealand tax law.

If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal details from our systems. Two things are kept, and only these:

  • Financial records — where you have paid us, the transaction (amount, GST, date and payment reference) is kept for 7 years as New Zealand tax law requires. Your name, email address and bank details are removed from it.
  • A limited registration record — the name, email address, phone number and IP address you signed up with are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted automatically. We keep this to protect the safety of our performers, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to assist Police or other authorities if we are lawfully required to. If a specific safety or legal matter arises, a record may be held for longer while that matter is dealt with.

Website visit logs (the pages viewed from an IP address) are kept separately for security and are not linked to your account. They are not removed when an account is deleted, because they were never part of it.

Performer profiles can be deactivated at any time through the talent portal. Deactivated profiles are hidden from public view but retained in our records for the legally required period.

6. Your Rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of any inaccurate information
  • Request that your profile be deactivated (hidden from public view)
  • Complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner if you believe your privacy has been breached

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, use, or disclosure. We use industry-standard security measures to protect our website and your data.
